Walkin with God
Sometimes, when things happen to you, and you have no idea on how it happened. Something unfortunate, like you fractured your arm, lost all your finance, did badly in the exams, or just something unfortunate.
"why me?"
Some would ask.
But why not ask "Why not me?" There is something unfortunate got to happen to someone. Sorry, if u are the one. For christians, God arranged this. Don't question him. He can do anything he wants. But because our God is good, he will do it, for the good of us.
Don't question God. Bad things happen to us all the time. One day you are rejoycing, another day, you are in deep hurt. Why? Because God planned it all! You have a choice whether to follow him or not. Remember that if u walk with God, the road is never easy. Looking at the other option to walk by yourself, it is attractive in the short term, because you don't need to follow his ways, don't need to follow his commandments, don't need to go through all the problems. But i assure you one thing. Your life WILL screw up. It can be very very screwed up. And i am not joking with you.
There are two people who always agitate my Godsis, by cursing her, by swearing at her. They said ungodly stuff about her and her best friend. Let me ask you. Is this Godly? No. Then I pointed out their mistake. They made an excuse that "you don't walk against God, but you only don't walk with God". Let me tell you, they are excusing the sin. Because my Godsis, through this experience got much closer to the Lord, the group of people told her not to misuse the name of the Lord to "defend herself". What hypocrites! Aren't they the ones who are doing it? They had not sinned against man, but against God, by MISUSING his name. They abused his name, and merely used it as a shield to defend themselves against our questioning of their faith.
Who wins is not the point. The point is whether they are following the commandments.
Do you know, that by not walking with God, you are walking against him? You are not following his commandments, you do not acknowledge them. Shame on you if you do. It says in revalation, " So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to
spit you
out of my
mouth." Rev. 3:16
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers." 1 John 3.16
Have you done that? Its only pride which keeps you from admitting that you sinned. They had sinned against the Lord. They HATED my godsis, and yet accused us for misusing the Lord's name in our defence. They are misusing God's name in their defence.
Had God taught you to HATE? Had God told you to SWEAR? SAY VULGARITIES? Had God told you to SIN AGAINST HIM? By not walking his ways, you are SINNING. And God HATES sin. If you are not walking with him. You are, essentially, walking AGAINST him. Of course we are all sinful. Even those who walk with God are sinners. But if you follow his ways, you are making an effort not to sin. If you are not, you literally don't even care. And thats a BIG difference from caring to keep yourself clean before the Lord. Its not just "one more sin" but it is a BIG DEAL. Because you are not even caring about your ways, you are, in other words, not even caring about whether Christ died for you or not. Because he died for your sins. Its like u telling christ "i don't need to follow your ways, whether you die or not is not my problem". It may not be what you are thinkin of. But let me tell you. Christ did die for everyone. Thats' because he wants to reconnect man with God again. Because he so loved the world. Because he wants to take the punishment, for us. And HERE ARE YOU, TELLING HIM THAT YOU DON'T EVEN CARE!
You may think that God forgave you, no matter wad sin you committed, whether you asked him for forgiveness or not, so u can keep sining and sinning and sinning. Thats a MYTH. Whats right is that There is no sin too hard for God to forgive, IF A PERSON REPENTS WHOLEHEARTEDLY.
If God were to forgive everything, even without our repentence, why did he, in the book of acts strike the man down after he sinned against God? Why did God even teach us the good ways in the first place?
Think about it. God created u for a purpose. God doesn't want you to sin. It is our very sins that killed God's son. Walk with God. Just because u don't walk with him, does not just mean that. It is, walking against him.
